a tale of two cities

This studio was constructed as a series of building block exercises.  The multi-step process led to the production of a mid-rise building with a single floor, designated as individual workspaces.  With today’s forced adoption of the virtual work environment, it’s only fitting these rooms serve as temporary zoom stage-sets.  While the exterior and interior portions of the project were independently designed, they both demonstrate how two-dimensional drawings can be mapped onto three-dimensional forms.  A uniform concept throughout the design process was showing how individual ideas can be merged together.  The unique elements are nimble enough to adapt as the overall composition is formed.
